Food & Beverage Mini Encyclopedia — Learn How to Read Fruit and Vegetable Juice Labels
Some people believe that drinking juice is healthier than other beverages for beating the summer heat.
However, there are many drinks on the market claiming to contain fruit and vegetable juice.
Do you know the differences between them?
➤ If the total fruit and vegetable juice content is less than 10%:
The packaging must not display the words “fruit and vegetable juice.”
It must be labeled as “fruit (or vegetable) juice content less than 10%” or directly indicate the percentage of juice content.
➤ If the product contains no fruit or vegetable juice at all:
The packaging must be labeled with phrases such as “no fruit (or vegetable) juice.”
Before buying, remember to check the label carefully so you can enjoy a refreshing drink while staying healthy and worry-free!
